Black Girl Magic: the Sisterhood Experience

Black Girl Magic:  the Sisterhood Experience is an African American women’s empowerment retreat that facilitates connections and relationships among current Rice, African American women, while also discussing many of the topics relevant to their collegiate and post-collegiate lives.  We create a comfort zone where young women can connect, find inspiration and strength and the motivation to not only be their true selves, but learn to truly value and appreciate their uniqueness. The retreat focuses on connections, self-empowerment, self-care, inspiration and defining values.

The 2018 Sisterhood Experience is January 13-14 at Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville, Texas.  The registration deadline:  5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13th.

A $10 registration fee (which will be returned if you attend the retreat) is required along with the application.  The fee may be paid by check or cash to the Office of Multicultural Affairs or by Venmo to Catherine Clack and is due by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018.

The Sisterhood Experience is a student life collaboration sponsored by the Dean of Undergraduates, Student Success Initiatives and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
